ingredients & research
key ingredients:
Glycerin - A natural, water-binding moisturizer that’s also in our skin. It is the gold standard, most proven humectant that goes beyond simple hydration. It keeps the skin lipids between our skin cells in a healthy (liquid crystal) state, protects against irritation, and helps to restore the barrier. 5% of Glycerin counts as a medium amount, ideal for combination-oily skin.
Ectoin - An amazing, all-around skin protectant. This well-researched, multi-functional active has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, pollution & light protecting, skin hydrating, barrier repairing as well as anti-aging properties.
Isosorbide Dicaprylate - A modern skin hydrator and barrier builder molecule that works particularly well with Glycerin. It is known to upregulate Aquaporin-3, the important water & glycerin channels in the epidermis.
Xylitylglucoside + Anhydroxylitol + Xylitol – A sugar based humectant trio that works in synergy with glycerin to increase the skin’s water-binding capacity and strengthen the skin barrier.
Bisabolol + Allantoin - Two classic skincare ingredients known for their skin soothing abilities.

I love how cheap this moisturizer is and that it doesn't make my fungal acne skin flare up (and I've had acne since I was 12 years old). It also actually sinks in and moisturizes my skin and I live in a super arid, dry climate. I wish it came in a bigger bottle but that's my only not real criticism.
Unfortunately this is the only G&G product that didn't agree with my skin. I've used for around 6 months and during that time I experience a lot of breakouts especially on my forehead. I initially didn't suspect this product but after carefully narrowing down my routine and changing the products 1 by 1, I noticed that this was the culprit. I haven't used it 3 months and my skin is back to normal.
can't possibly say enough good things about this brand.. amazing ingredients, simple nourishing formulas for all skin types at shockingly low costs! how could we not love? also really love their happier barrier moisturizer aswell!
Lovely jelly texture, soothing feeling almost cooling. Works well under SPF and makeup. Smells clean and neutral. I only wish this was 100ml or more cause it would last longer and be both more economic and ecological.
It has a light, soft, jelly texture and it is value for money...
